The Herb Alpert School of Music faculty John Tejada and alum March Adstrum (Music BFA 22) bring their collaborative act Optometry to the Lodge Room in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Aug. 30.

The evening performance marks the electro-indie duo’s return to the Lodge Room, where they made their debut this past March. More about Optometry from their press release:

The duo’s focus on themes of life, love and loss, weaving seductively melancholic textures together with synths, drum machines, guitars and bass. Adstrum’s ethereal voice and guitar work bring the electronics to life with heartfelt expression and emotion, while Tejada’s use of vintage rhythm boxes, synths and effects, provide a solid sense of authenticity.

Optometry performs Wednesday night alongside acts Silent Servant, Dntel, and Baths. Dntel and Silent Servant previously contributed remixes to Optometry’s latest EP, In-Visible-Distance.
