A new work by Moira Lael MacDonald (Theater MFA ’12) explores the extraordinary life of Svetlana Alliluyeva, daughter of Joseph Stalin.

The public art installation will be on view at the Los Angeles State Historic Park in downtown LA from this Saturday, Aug. 23 to Sunday, Sept. 7.

The 2025 honorees from CalArts are Tramaine Raphael Gray (Theater MFA 26), Gabriella Mykal (Film/Video MFA 23), and Jared Hall (Film/Video MFA 25).

Executive producer Burton also directs the season opener, ‘Here We Woe Again.’

The special performance honors baseball icon Jackie Robinson.

The anthology is co-edited by Lauren Pratt, Tashi Wada (Music BFA 08), and CalArts faculty Robert Wannamaker.
