CalArts alums, current students, and faculty perform at the 2023 HEAR NOW Music Festival, running Thursday, April 13 through Sunday, April 16 in the Main Theater of 2220 Arts & Archives in Los Angeles.

The festival presents four consecutive days of performances, spanning electroacoustic music, chamber music, and a concert featuring collaborations with dancers, filmmakers, and visual artists. Among the notable sets is the West Coast premiere of CalArts faculty Anne LeBaron’s Cosmic Rose (2022), which made its world premiere last October at the 43rd annual Bowling Green New Music Festival. LeBaron’s work will be performed on Saturday by Alison Bjorkedal (fellow faculty member in The Herb Alpert School of Music at CalArts) on harp and Rachel Constantino on French horn.
