A criminal mastermind and a team of young bank employees conspire to pull off the heist of the century in the Showtime film Heist 88, executive produced by Courtney B. Vance and Angela Bassett and featuring CalArts alum Yaasmeen Brown (Theater BFA 20).

Loosely inspired by the true story of a botched 1988 Chicago robbery, the film follows Jeremy Horne (Vance), who assembles a team of bankers to rob the First National Bank of Chicago of $80 million. Brown joins the cast as Renee, the pregnant wife of disillusioned heist recruit Danny Pugh (Xavier Clyde).

“This is my very first film and I’m so blessed to have been part of a project with living legends that have paved the way for young black actors like myself and so many others,” Brown shared on Instagram
