Bilingual pop singer-songwriter Manu Beker (Music BFA 22) takes the stage at Tecate Pa’l Norte 2023, running Friday, March 31 through Sunday, April 2 at Parque Fundidora in Monterrey, Mexico.
Established in 2012, Tecate Pa’l Norte is an annual showcase of music, art, and norteño, a popular musical style developed in Northern Mexico. Beker joins this year’s lineup, boasting performers like Blink-182, Sebastián Yatra, Billie Eilish, The Killers, and others. Beker brings his signature fusion of soul, Latin trap, R&B, and pop to the stage on April 2.
Beker is a Los Angeles-based composer, producer, and singer-songwriter who has made a name as an emerging solo artist in his native Mexico City. He also applies his composition skills to scoring for film and television, including fellow CalArtian Cain Pickens’ (Film/Video BFA 22) animated short “Love at First Light.” The recipient of the Lillian Disney Scholarship, Beker has collaborated with Grammy Award-winning artists and released three EPs, including Tell It Like It Is.
